C.W.K. GEAR was established in 2001 by President Fred Carter. The company we created because society, especially some African-Americans have a true lack of knowledge pertaining to their history. "People will parish because of lack of knowledge!" We do not want another generation dying, depending on our school systems to educate them on "our" history. Too many times society only encourages "us" to learn about "us" during the shortest and coldest month of the year. A month when people often do not get out to their libraries, museums even community funded programs. This is not an excuse for our ignorance but it is a reason for some not to be interested in learning.

The purpose of C.W.K. GEAR is to provide knowledgeable facts about "our" history. History that should be learned and understood all year round.
